2016 Collector Training
Welome aboard! Our 7th Annual Collector Training is on the way. This event will take place in Anaheim, California from March 7-9, 2016.
If you haven't been to a GRCA Collector Training, this is your chance to participate in one of the only collection events exclusively for governments. Over the past 7 years, we've brought basic collection skills, new technology, compliance information, and networking opportunities to every level of government and this year will be no exception. Big or small, each of our governments shares some common issues and has tackled similar problems. We want to help your government reach the next level, and we believe this year's conference will have you well on your way.
As usual, we rely heavily on your input as we develop a training agenda. We will hear speakers from various governments as well as our private partners as we explore ways to take our collection programs higher and higher. Based on your feedback, we are working on the following sessions:
- Available technology and products
- Customer service
- Basic collection techniques>
- Negotiating and dealing with difficult customers
- and so much more!
We had 22 states represented at last year's training and moving the focus groups earlier in the event was a great change. We've long believed that networking is probably the single biggest advantage to these types of events. There is simply no substitute for getting to know people who do what you do. We can't tell you how many ideas come out of lunch conversations, let alone the focus groups. If your government is struggling to move forward with collections, this is a great chance for you to connect with offices that have traveled that road.
This collector training might be just the thing to really help your collection program take off!
Here's what some of our attendees had to say about the 2015 training:
"Truly enjoyed the conference. I have more takeaways that I expected!"
"Spring Training was very well organized - relative topics and great location."
"Thank you for everything you all have done to organize. Great job!"
